KCMG SIGNS FRENCH RACER PABLO SARRAZIN TO ITS DRIVER DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

After a promising Formula 4 test at the Circuit de Lédenon last year, Sarrazin will take on the full French F4 Championship in 2022, racing at venues such as Magny-Cours, Spa-Francorchamps and Paul Ricard. Last week, the 16-year-old took part in the first pre-season test on the Bugatti Circuit at Le Mans.

Sarrazin’s addition to the programme shows KCMG’s willingness to invest in and support young talents, helping them move forward in their racing careers.

Pablo will be guided by Italian driver Edoardo Liberati, a KCMG regular in races such as the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, 24 Hours of Spa and Bathurst 12 Hour. Acting as a coach and driver mentor for the French teenager, Liberati will attend all of Sarrazin’s events this season and oversee his technical development.

KCMG already has links to the Sarrazin family, having supported Pablo’s father and ex-World Endurance Championship star Stéphane in the World Rally Championship between 2015 and 2020. Similarly to his father, Sarrazin has ability in multiple racing disciplines, and made his rallying debut last year, competing in one-day events in Latvia.

PABLO SARRAZIN

I’m really proud to have been selected for the KCMG Driver Development Project. It’s a great opportunity to join a great team so early in my career and I’m looking forward to making the step up to cars this season. The FFSA Academy and French F4 Championship provides a great platform for development and I’m ready to give my all to have a successful year. A big thank you to Paul Ip and the KCMG family for this opportunity, and also to the FFSA Academy. I can’t wait to start competing at the first round in Nogaro.”

EDOARDO LIBERATI KCMG-DDP DRIVER COACH

“I’m very happy to continue my journey with the team. Our Driver Development Project is a great programme, it’s something very special and rare in motorsport, so I am delighted to be involved. I’m looking forward to helping our young drivers develop and grow both in and out of the car, giving them the tools they need for a successful racing career. Thanks to Paul Ip for trusting me in this role, I’m excited to get started!”

RYUJI DOI KCMG HEAD OF MOTORSPORT

“I’d like to welcome Pablo to the KCMG family. The team races in several championships across the world, so it’s exciting to be linked with a promising driver who is just starting his journey into cars. French F4 is a great training ground for young racers, so we hope he’ll develop well and score some strong results there. Pablo’s success is KCMG’s success, so we’ll do everything we can to ensure he achieves his potential.”

PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER

I’m delighted to welcome Pablo to our Driver Development Project. He has shown his speed and potential on numerous occasions, and has a promising future ahead of him. KCMG is really looking forward to continuing their journey with the Sarrazin family, having supported Stéphane in the past.

“The French F4 championship is the ideal place for Pablo to make his first steps out of karting, the FFSA Academy gives drivers a great opportunity to hone their skills on track and many promising drivers have competed in the series. We’re also pleased to have Edoardo in this new role, as a driver mentor for Pablo. Edo is a talented racer and will be an excellent example and coach for Pablo. KCMG is excited to continue supporting young talent, and we look forward to seeing Pablo progress this season.”
