KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) showed solid pace at Round 3 of the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS), as they continue their preparation for the ADAC TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Nürburgring next month.
After a promising start to the season with a podium at NLS 1, the team was eager to build on the momentum from the opening round. Dennis Olsen and Josh Burdon returned to the legendary circuit at the wheel of the #18 Porsche 911 GT3 R, and were joined by two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Earl Bamber.
The Hong-Kong based squad was making strong progress through the field during the initial two hours of the race, moving up 10 positions and into seventh place overall, until Burdon was caught up in an incident at the Döttinger Höhe straight. The Australian was forced to return to the pits for repairs, but despite the unscheduled stop, the team re-joined the race and finished 17th, gathering more data on the 25.378-kilometre circuit.
KCMG will return to the iconic Nordschleife for two three-hour races as part of the ADAC TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Nürburgring Qualifiers on 6-8 May, before the main event on 26-29 May.

“It was a tough weekend for us, but we definitely learned a lot. We were a little unlucky in the race as we were involved in an incident, but Josh managed to pit and the team could repair the damage, allowing us to improve further and make more progress. The car was great, the team is doing a brilliant job, so we must continue to work hard.”

“Overall, it was a positive weekend at the Nordschleife. We gathered new information and our preparations are going well. We were unfortunate to get caught up in an incident, but we still managed to learn and improve. The car was quick once again and the team are doing really well to make sure we keep progressing every time we take to the track.”

“It was great to return to the Nürburgring with KCMG. Ultimately, it wasn’t the result we wanted but that’s racing, especially on a circuit like the Nordschleife. It was a good weekend overall, as we were able to progress, so the goal now is hold on to this momentum.”
