KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) member Pablo Sarrazin is targeting the points in the penultimate round of the French F4 season in Valencia this weekend.

The 16-year-old showed good speed in all three events last time out at Lédenon, making some great overtakes to move up five positions and finish Races 1 and 3 in 13th. He now heads back to Valencia, having tested with the previous-generation Mygale M14-F4 on the circuit in June.

Round 7 of the 2022 French F4 season heads to Circuit Ricardo Tormo, which first opened in 1999. A combination of both fast and slow corners forms the 4.005-kilometre racetrack, with the main straight boasting a length of 650 metres. Overall, the layout provides good opportunities for slipstreaming and overtaking as the drivers approach the first corner.

PABLO SARRAZIN

Last weekend in Lédenon showed that I still have some areas to improve in qualifying, but I’ve been getting better with my overall race pace thanks to Edo’s help and advice. We’re going to Spain for the penultimate round of the season, and to another track I’m quite familiar with. I tested here a few months ago with the previous-generation car and I enjoyed the flow of the circuit, so I’ll be working on getting up to speed as quickly as possible and being competitive from Free Practice.”

EDOARDO LIBERATI KCMG-DDP DRIVER COACH

“Pablo had a tricky qualifying session at Lédenon last weekend, but he showed strong speed and made some great overtakes in the three races. We got a lot of useful information out of our test at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in June, so we’re looking forward to returning to the circuit. Pablo has been working really hard to prepare for these final two events, and his aim is to continue improving his qualifying performance.”

PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER

It’s good to see the progress Pablo has been making in recent races, and how his race pace has been coming together. We’re heading towards the end of the season with the final two rounds, and Pablo is focused on continuing to make progress on-track. He’s confident of a points finish this weekend, and along with the help from Edo, we’re excited to see what he can do in Valencia.”
