KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) member Pablo Sarrazin showed great pace to finish in the points in Race 3 of the French F4 round at Valencia, the penultimate event of the season.

Sarrazin started the weekend strongly at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, securing seventh on the grid for Race 3 in Friday’s qualifying session, his best result of the season so far.

The 16-year-old was in a good position to score points in Race 1 on Saturday morning, before picking up two punctures in the 11-lap event, compromising his tyre strategy for the weekend. Displaying solid speed in Race 2 later that day, Sarrazin finished just outside the points in 12th.

Sarrazin ended the round in Spain with a point in Sunday’s Race 3, showing good pace to finish 11th. Due to a driver in the top-10 being ineligible to score at Valencia, Sarrazin secured the final point in a solid weekend at the 4.005-kilometre circuit.

The French F4 Championship now heads to Circuit Paul Ricard for its season finale on 14-16 October.

PABLO SARRAZIN

“It was a good weekend for me, and I was happy to return to Valencia as it’s a circuit that I enjoy driving on. With Edo’s help, I made great progress in qualifying, and I took my best grid position of the season so far with seventh for Race 3. I had solid pace all weekend, even though the punctures in Race 1 made it more difficult for me. I was delighted with Sunday’s result, and I’m looking forward to the final round at Paul Ricard.”

EDOARDO LIBERATI KCMG-DDP DRIVER COACH

“Pablo started his weekend in Valencia strongly, securing seventh on the grid for Race 3. He qualified just outside the top-10 for Races 1 and 2, performing well despite the tyre issues. He continued to show strong pace on Sunday and finished in the points, so there’s a lot of positives to take away from this weekend. We’ll be aiming to replicate his qualifying result in the season finale at Paul Ricard and hopefully end our campaign with a solid haul of points.”

PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER

“I’m delighted to see Pablo making progress at Valencia, and it shows how much effort he’s been putting in to continue improving. He’s come a long way in his first year of Formula 4, and he’s been showing great pace. It was unfortunate to see his tyre issues in Race 1, but he came back strongly in Race 2 and secured the final point in Race 3. It was great to see him score after the tricky start to the weekend. With the final round coming up at Paul Ricard in a few weeks, I’m sure he can end the season with the results his efforts deserve.”
