KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) member Pablo Sarrazin is aiming for a strong finish to the season as the 2022 French F4 Championship concludes at Circuit Paul Ricard this weekend.
Sarrazin took his best qualifying result of the season so far at the previous round in Valencia, showing great speed to secure seventh on the grid for Race 3. The 16-year-old continued his solid pace throughout the weekend to fight in the top-10, scoring the final point in Sunday’s race.
Opened in 1970, Circuit Paul Ricard has hosted the French Grand Prix on multiple occasions, with the latest event taking place in July. Corners such as Signes, Village and Beausset make up the 5.842-km layout, while the Mistral straight provides great overtaking opportunities. The circuit is also known for its distinctive blue and red run-off zones, where a mixture of asphalt and tungsten is used to effectively slow cars off the racetrack.
PABLO SARRAZIN
“I’ve been busy preparing for the final round with Edo and the team and I’m looking forward to being back on track at Le Castellet again. It’s a circuit I’m familiar with and one I enjoy driving on, so I’m aiming for more points this weekend. We made a lot of progress in the last round at Valencia, and the goal is to carry that forward at Paul Ricard and do our best to end the season strongly!”
EDOARDO LIBERATI KCMG-DDP DRIVER COACH
“Pablo had a positive test at Paul Ricard a few months ago, and he achieved his best qualifying result so far in Valencia, so there’s a lot of positives to bring into the final round. He’s been working hard throughout the season to keep improving, so he’s looking to finish the year on a high.”
PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER
“We’re coming into the final round of the French F4 Championship this weekend at Paul Ricard, and Pablo is looking forward to showing what he’s learned throughout the season. Getting to the end of a campaign is always good in the development of a racing driver, and with the help of Edo and the team this weekend, I’m sure Pablo will finish with some strong results.”
