KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) member Pablo Sarrazin took his best qualifying result of the season in the 2022 French F4 Championship finale at Circuit Paul Ricard, securing sixth on the grid.

The French youngster showed great pace in Race 1 and was running in the points before being pushed off the track, losing places and eventually finishing 11th.

Moving into the top five thanks to a quick getaway at the start of Race 2, Sarrazin looked to challenge for a podium until an issue with his front wing delayed his progress on-track. Despite this, the 16-year-old put in a solid drive to secure the final point in tenth.

Maintaining his form in Race 3 on Sunday, Sarrazin was on course for a second top-10 finish. Unfortunately, his bad luck continued, being hit by another driver from behind, resulting in damage to his rear wing.

PABLO SARRAZIN

“It’s been a season full of ups and downs, and we ended the campaign showing good potential at Le Castellet. We secured our best qualifying result of the year with a strong sixth place, and had the speed to challenge the top five in each race. We didn’t achieve the results that we were aiming for due to a mechanical issue, but it was great to continue making progress. I want to say a massive thank you to Edo and KCMG for all their help and support this season, and I’m excited to see what’s in store for next year.”

EDO LIBERATI KCMG-DDP DRIVER COACH

“Pablo enjoyed his strongest round of the season at Paul Ricard in terms of his on-track performance. He put in a brilliant effort in qualifying to take his best result of the year and he was very competitive in each of the races. He was unlucky not to challenge for a podium, but the weekend showed how much progress he has made since the start of the year. I’ve really enjoyed working with Pablo this year, it’s been great to be a part of his development as a racing driver!”

PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER

“Pablo’s done very well in his first season of single-seater racing and we are all proud of what he’s accomplished.  He’s improved massively since the first round, especially with his pace in qualifying and in the second half of the championship he really showed his potential to challenge for strong points. We’ve enjoyed working with Pablo this year and watching him improve, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can achieve going forwards!”
