KCMG enjoyed a successful return to the FIA Motorsport Games last weekend at Circuit Paul Ricard, supplying the hybrid-equipped KC MG-01 for the second edition of the Formula 4 Cup as Andrea Kimi Antonelli dominated, taking gold for Team Italy.
Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Junior Team member Antonelli showed great pace throughout the weekend, finishing on top in Friday’s Free Practice and qualifying sessions before securing pole position for the main race with a strong drive to victory in Saturday’s Qualifying Race.
The reigning ADAC F4 and Italian F4 champion would remain unchallenged in Sunday’s 30-minute event, meaning Team Italy took their second consecutive gold medal in the F4 Cup, following Andrea Rosso’s victory at Vallelunga in 2019.
With his victory, Antonelli also receives €10,000 on behalf of KCMG to contribute towards the future development of his motorsport career.
Manuel Espirito Santo secured the silver medal for Team Portugal, holding onto the position throughout the main race after avoiding trouble at the start, while Spain’s Bruno Del Pino Ventos made up places from fifth to take bronze and the final podium position.
Julius Dinesen and Lorens Lecertua rounded out the top five for Team Denmark and Team Belgium respectively, while Germany’s Valentin Kluss put in a great drive to finish sixth, having come through the field from 20th on the grid after an incident in Saturday’s Qualifying Race.

“It was great to be back at the FIA Motorsport Games, supplying the KC MG-01 for this year’s Formula 4 Cup. We’ve been looking forward to returning since the previous edition at Vallelunga in 2019, so we’re delighted the event went well. We were pleased with the overall performance of the car throughout the weekend, and we got a lot of positive feedback from the drivers. Congratulations to Andrea on his victory for Team Italy, and to Manuel and Bruno for their podium finishes. We’re very excited to see what the future holds for these talented young racers!”
