KCMG-Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) member Pablo Sarrazin has joined Van Amersfoort Racing-Monlau Motorsport team (VAR/Monlau) to participate in the 2023 Spanish F4 Championship.
Following a 2022 campaign that saw him take on French F4 in his first season of single-seater racing, Sarrazin is now set to take on the series’ Spanish equivalent. The French driver will take on tracks such as the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Circuito de Jerez and the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
KCMG-DDP is committed to supporting drivers in the early years of their careers, helping young talent such as Sarrazin develop and progress in their pursuit of becoming a professional racing driver.
Sarrazin, the son of ex-F1 racer Stéphane, will continue to be mentored by Edoardo Liberati. The experienced Italian is a KCMG regular, who has competed with the team in a host of illustrious races such as the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, the Bathurst 12 Hour, and the 24 Hours of Spa.
PABLO SARRAZIN
“I’m really happy to join the VAR/Monlau team, thanks to everyone at KCMG-DDP, as without them this wouldn’t be possible. It’s great to have Edo by my side again, his knowledge was a big help last year and I trust him to help me improve throughout 2023. I know what my targets are, and I’ll do everything I can to achieve them. Now, we need to continue the hard work during pre-season to be ready for the opening round at Spa in May.”
EDOARDO LIBERATI KCMG-DDP DRIVER COACH
“I’m looking forward to taking on this new challenge with Pablo and KCMG-DDP. Team VAR/Monlau has a great reputation, and Spanish F4 is one of the most competitive championships at this level. I think this is a great environment for his development and I can’t wait to get started.”
PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER
“After a promising start to our relationship with Pablo in 2022, we’re delighted to continue supporting him as part of the KCMG-DDP this year. He is moving into a very challenging series, but last year he demonstrated how hard he was willing to work to get results. We believe that the VAR/Monlau team will give him the best possible opportunity for him to succeed and we wish him all the best for the season ahead.”

ABOUT KCMG
The KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) was launched by KCMG founder Paul Ip in 2021, and aims to develop young drivers who have the potential to race for the team in the future. KCMG manages, trains and invests in their drivers as they move up the motorsport ladder. Its members receive driver coaching, development and management services, along with financial support and physical training. Drivers will have a range of opportunities while progressing through the KCMG-DDP, given the multiple championships the team competes in and manufacturers it is partnered with.
