KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) is optimistic ahead of the opening round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS), with Edoardo Liberati and Martin Rump taking on the fearsome Nordschleife in a Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO.
The Hong-Kong based outfit will compete in its first full NLS campaign in the SP10 class, including the prestigious 24 Hours of Nürburgring, with this weekend’s event set to be the competitive European debut for the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO.
Both drivers have previously competed for KCMG, with Liberati having raced for the team at the Nürburgring 24 Hours as recently as 2021, while Rump took a Pro-Am class win for the squad in the 2017 Blancpain GT Series Asia.
The 2023 NLS season is set to begin on the 17-18 March.
MARTIN RUMP
“As a team, we enjoyed a good pre-season and a successful shakedown, everything seems to be in order and the car is running well. I managed to learn a lot throughout, and it looks like we’ve established a solid base to work from.”
EDOARDO LIBERATI
“The first test has left us satisfied as every time the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO went out on track we gained a little bit more knowledge. Everyone involved in the programme also seems to be working well together so I can’t wait to get the campaign underway.”
MATT HOWSON KCMG TEAM MANAGER
“Throughout the pre-season test, the conditions were as challenging as always at the Nürburgring at this time of year, but we had a very productive first outing in the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO last weekend. The car has enormous potential, and with valuable laps on the Nordschleife in the bank, we’re in a good position to start the season. The team is targeting a strong debut race with Edo and Martin at NLS 1 and we’re ready for the first challenge of 2023.”
PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER
“It was a good pre-season for KCMG as the team got to grips with the new Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO. Everyone is satisfied with how the test went and the aim is to push on this weekend. The squad is taking on the full NLS campaign for the first time, so I believe we have a great opportunity to lay strong groundwork for the year ahead, starting from the first race.”
