KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) member Pablo Sarrazin is set to debut in Spanish F4 this weekend, competing for Van Amersfoort Racing – Monlau Motorsport (VAR/Monlau) at the famous Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
The 17-year-old made the step up to single seaters in 2022 when he took on French F4, and is now prepared for a second year at the level, this time in the Spanish championship. Sarrazin completed his preparation for the campaign at the end April, with pre-season testing at MotorLand Aragón and now he’s building up to take on Spa-Francorchamps for the second time, following his experience at the Belgian track last year.
As was the case in 2022, the French youngster will once again be supported by KCMG-DDP Driver Coach Edoardo Liberati. The Italian racer, who is competing for KCMG in the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie this season, is an experienced head who will give advice and mentoring to Sarrazin throughout the campaign.
The championship spans seven rounds, starting at Spa in Belgium before returning to the Iberian Peninsula, with the championship travelling to MotorLand Aragon, Circuito de Navarra, Circuito de Jerez, Circuito do Estoril (Portugal) and Circuit Ricardo Tormo ahead of the season finale at Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona in November.
PABLO SARRAZIN
“We had two really positive days of testing in Aragón last week and I’m feeling ready for Spa. I’m excited to take on this championship, it’s always highly competitive with some great teams and drivers. I’m looking forward to racing with VAR/Monlau for the first time and proud to be part of the KCMG-DDP and thankful to them for making this possible. I’m also delighted to be working with Edo again this season. He was a massive help last year and his experience will be incredibly valuable to me. I can’t wait to get going this weekend and hopefully we get the campaign off to a strong start!”
EDOARDO LIBERATI KCMG-DDP DRIVER COACH
“I’m really happy to be working with Pablo again this year, he continued to make progress in testing last week at Aragón, improving in all areas and was consistently in the top-10 on the timesheets. Now he needs to consolidate that and put everything together for Spa. We know the competition is very strong, so we need to work on every small detail to be able to fight for positive results.”
PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER
“We’re all excited to see Pablo race this year in Spanish F4. It’s a very competitive championship, but he’s in a strong team and with the help of Edo, we’re confident he can perform to a high level. Spa-Francorchamps is one of the world’s best circuits, so I’m sure he will enjoy racing there! Best of luck to Pablo and hopefully we’ll be celebrating a great start to the season after the weekend.

ABOUT KCMG
The KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) was launched by KCMG founder Paul Ip in 2021, and aims to develop young drivers who have the potential to race for the team in the future. KCMG manages, trains and invests in their drivers as they move up the motorsport ladder. Its members receive driver coaching, development and management services, along with financial support and physical training. Drivers will have a range of opportunities while progressing through the KCMG-DDP, given the multiple championships the team competes in and manufacturers it is partnered with.
