KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) will make its long-awaited return to the Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS championship this weekend at Fuji International Speedway.
Having last competed in the championship in 2018, KCMG Founder Paul Ip and Italian racer Edoardo Liberati will take the wheel of the #22 Honda NSX GT3 EVO as the Hong Kong-based squad makes its comeback.
The pair raced together at this circuit as recently as last month, where they teamed up with Marchy Lee Ying-Kin, Ho-Pin Tung and Josh Burdon to claim a podium finish in Round 2 of the Super Taikyu Series at the Fuji Super TEC 24 Hours.
Liberati, who is also racing with KCMG in the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie this season, competed for the team the last time it participated in Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia. Paired with Florian Strauss, the duo took three podiums during the 2018 campaign, including a third placed finish at this weekend’s venue.
Official Practice gets underway on Friday 16 June, with Qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday, ahead of Race 2 on Sunday.
