KCMG CONTINUE TO BUILD FANATEC GT WORLD CHALLENGE ASIA PACE AT MOTEGI

KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) continued to show its strong pace during Rounds 7 and 8 of the 2023 Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia campaign at Mobility Resort Motegi.

Competing in the #22 Honda NSX GT3 EVO, KCMG Founder Paul Ip and Edoardo Liberati displayed positive speed at the challenging circuit, with Liberati claiming a strong 10th place in qualifying for Race 2. The duo was unable to break into the points-paying positions in either event, finishing 21st in both.

The team will return to Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia for Rounds 9 and 10 at Okayama International Circuit on 19-20 August.

EDOARDO LIBERATI

“I’m very proud of the team for their efforts so far throughout the Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia campaign. Once again this weekend it was a solid operation and we showed great speed on track, even if we were unable to score points. We’ll look to continue working and break into the top-10 at Okayama.”

PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER

“It was a tough weekend given the conditions in Motegi, but we pushed through and managed to show positive pace. It was a shame not to be fighting for points, but we know the car is capable so we’ll do everything we can to return to the top-10 at Okayama next month.”

MATT HOWSON TEAM MANAGER

“As expected, Motegi was an intensely hot race, a physical challenge for the cars, drivers and crew, but KCMG performed strongly once again and the Honda NSX GT3 EVO showed top-five pace. Edo was flying all weekend and Paul coped very well with the tough conditions. Okayama is a very different circuit, it’s tight and twisty, so we’ll aim to get the car set-up dialled in and keep up our momentum.”
