KCMG Driver Development Project (KCMG-DDP) member Pablo Sarrazin will travel to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this weekend for the final event on the Spanish F4 calendar.
Driving for Van Amersfoort Racing – Monlau Motorsports (VAR/Monlau), the young Frenchman will take on the iconic circuit for the first time in his career, aiming to replicate his points finish at Navarra earlier this year and finish the season with a solid result. Sarrazin will pilot the #12 Tatuus F4-T-421, targeting a strong qualifying performance to put himself in a position to earn points.
The Spanish track is known for its variable wind conditions, meaning drivers must be alert and ready to adapt at all times to sudden changes in the handling of their car. Overtaking opportunities are readily available to those brave enough to carry high speed around the breakneck Turns 13 and 14, which lead immediately to a 1.047-kilometre pit straight. Elsewhere, the sweeping U-shaped Turns 4 and 12 demand both patience and precision from competitors.
PABLO SARRAZIN
“I’m excited to drive at such a famed circuit for the last round of the season. I feel confident in myself and the team and believe we can achieve a strong result here. The standard of competition has increased throughout the year and this, along with the support of my team and KCMG, has allowed me to hone my own abilities on track.”
EDOARDO LIBERATI KCMG-DDP DRIVER COACH
“Coming into the last round of the Spanish F4 season, we are targeting the strong points finish that I know Pablo’s hard work throughout the season deserves. The aim is to end the campaign on a positive note and inside the top-10.”
PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER
“Though results haven’t always gone Pablo’s way this season, I know that he has taken valuable lessons from each event, and used the support of KCMG to gain new skills to benefit his career as a driver. I am positive about this final race weekend and believe Pablo can end 2023 with a solid points finish.”
