Kicking off the 2025 season, Pinnacle Motorsport confirms a four-car entry for the upcoming Formula Regional Middle East Championship Certified by FIA (FRMEC). The Motorsport Ireland-licensed team will see the return of some familiar faces with the addition of two new drivers across the five events in the desert.
Headlining Pinnacle Motorsport’s lineup is Ernesto Rivera from Mexico. The 16-year-old is a champion karter—winning the SKUSA Winter Series and SKUSA SuperNationals titles in 2023. He made his Spanish F4 Championship debut last year where he was immediately a front-running driver. Rivera was a regular top 10 finisher and scored a podium and race win.
Joining him is Finley Green who returns for another season in FRMEC. After competing mostly in sports cars, the British driver moved to single-seaters and raced with Pinnacle Motorsport in 2024. He then added to his formula car experience by moving to Eurocup-3 after.
Italian driver Giovanni Maschio also makes a comeback in FRMEC with the team. His best result last year was a 9th place finish at Yas Marina and will join Pinnacle Motorsport for the first two events in 2025.
Completing the lineup is another Mexican driver Jesse Carrasquedo. The 17-year-old had a full year in 2024 competing in FRMEC, FRECA, and Eurocup-3. Like Maschio, he’s entering the double-header at Yas Marina.
The 2025 calendar is mostly unchanged with the first two rounds taking place at the Yas Marina Circuit in January. There’s a quick stop at the Dubai Autodrome for Round 3 in February before returning to Yas Marina for Round 4. The highlight of the year is the addition of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit—home of the Saudi Arabian GP—which fittingly serves as the season ender on the 25th of February.

John O’Hara, Pinnacle Motorsport Team Director
“Coming from our successful outing at last year’s Macau GP World Cup, we’re excited to be back on track in 2025 and continue to fight for strong results. Finley and Giovanni have returned for a second season, while Ernesto and Jesse are our newest additions to Pinnacle Motorsport. Looking forward working with them as well as racing on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit that’s been added to the calendar.”
Accompanying Pinnacle Motorsport on their Formula Regional Middle East Championship Certified by FIA campaign are partners Motorsport Ireland and KC Motorgroup Ltd.
Organized by Top Speed, the Formula Regional Middle East Championship Certified by FIA was created following the success of the Formula Regional Asian Championship UAE seasons. The Middle East is a burgeoning center for junior single seater motorsport, and a dedicated championship gives drivers in the region a path to progress from karting, to F4 Middle East, and Formula Regional Middle East.
