KIDS COM TEAM KCMG TO FIELD NONAKA AS KOBAYASHI REPLACEMENT AT MOTEGI

Kids com Team KCMG is set to give Seita Nonaka his Super Formula debut in Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2025 season as a replacement for the unavailable Kamui Kobayashi.

Kobayashi’s commitments with Toyota GAZOO Racing in the World Endurance Championship at Imola on 18-20 April gives an opportunity for Nonaka to build on his experience with Kids com Team KCMG. The 24-year-old took part in the 2024 post-season test and will make his maiden Super Formula starts at Mobility Resort Motegi.

SEITA NONAKA

“A big thanks to everybody involved for making this happen and giving me the opportunity to race in Super Formula. It’s been a dream of mine for a long time so I’m very excited for the event at Motegi. I enjoyed being with the team at the post-season test last year and will give my all to have a strong weekend next month!”

RYUJI DOI KCMG HEAD OF MOTORSPORT

“We’re really excited to give Seita his debut in Super Formula at Mobility Resort Motegi. Of course Kamui will be a big miss, but we saw Seita’s potential at the post-season test last year and we’re confident he can perform to a good level. Even from watching him in Super Formula Lights, we felt he was ready for the step up, so we’re delighted that he will be racing with us and are looking forward to working with him.”
