As the 26th season of Formula Nippon draws to a close, SGC by KCMG takes part in Fuji Sprint Cup – an exclusive non-championship round which will be held during the premier Japanese series’ post-season event on November 18 at Fuji Speedway.
With an aim to highlight top racing categories in the region, Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) conducts an annual motorsport event entitled JAF Grand Prix, which features a non-title round, bringing Formula Nippon and Super GT’s current season to its conclusion.
Japanese driver Ryo Orime, who drove for SGC by KCMG during its 2012 Formula Nippon campaign, will once again represent the team in Fuji Sprint Cup. To have completed all seven rounds of the top-level Japanese series this season makes the team eligible to run in JAF’s prestigious event this upcoming weekend.
KCMG Japan General Manager Ryuji Doi gladly anticipates the team’s participation in this highly celebrated motorsport event. “We’re happy to be part of Fuji Sprint Cup and the team is looking forward to be back on the grid with Ryo for this special event. To compete in Fuji will be a great opportunity for us and this is a remarkable way to cap our 2012 campaign. This year’s season is just about to officially end, but as it is, the team is already busy gearing up for 2013!”
