Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG’s Akash Nandy is set to sign off in style in Formula Masters’ closing event in Macau. The Malaysian ace will compete in the series’ much-anticipated invitational race, as part of the prestigious Macau Grand Prix at the legendary Guia Circuit on November 9-10. Nandy will represent the international motorsport group alongside Thomas Luedi and Dan Wells.
After wrapping up the championship in the top three with 4 wins and 11 podiums, the 16-year-old driver is looking forward to the weekend and aims to shine in one of motorsport’s most celebrated and highly demanding venues.
Whilst Nandy states that to race on this mythical street circuit is a dream realized, the Malaysian driver is keen to cap off his maiden season in Formula Masters on top of the podium in Macau.
Akash Nandy, Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG Driver: “The dream of driving on one of the best circuits in world has come true. I never thought that it would come this fast and early in my career. I am really looking forward to racing in Macau. I am new to the Guia Circuit; the key to being fast is to be smooth and gutsy on this circuit and I am ready for it. As always, the team and I will be pushing very hard for a good result.”
John O’Hara, KCMG Deputy Managing Director: “Akash is very talented and he has shown how much he has matured as a race car driver over the Formula Masters season. The race in Macau will surely show more of his potential and I’m confident that he will do well in this event.”
