KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) has confirmed that Richard Bradley will share driving duties with Matt Howson in the Chinese LMP2 team’s 2014 assault on the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and 24 Hours of Le Mans.

As the team takes on its first full World Championship season, Bradley and Howson will share the #47 Oreca 03 – Nissan. Both drivers will also represent the team in its second running in the French endurance classic at Circuit de la Sarthe in June.

Bradley joined KCMG in 2013 and represented the Chinese team in the full season of Super Formula. While racing in Japan’s top level Formula series, Bradley also drove for KCMG in WEC’s 6 Hours of Fuji, and markedly, the 3 Hours of Fuji where the team claimed its second victory in the Asian Le Mans Series.

Howson was part of KCMG’s driver line-up in the team’s historic WEC debut at Silverstone and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013. The British driver has been involved in KCMG’s Formula campaigns since 2007 and raced in Japanese Formula 3 before shifting his gaze to Le Mans Prototype racing.

Richard Bradley, KCMG WEC Driver: “I am delighted to be able to join KCMG for this year’s World Endurance Championship. After the team’s strong showing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and WEC rounds at Silverstone and Fuji last year, we can be confident of having a good season ahead. I’m looking forward to working with Matt, Maarten and the whole KCMG crew. More than anything, I can’t wait to kick off our campaign in front of my home crowd at Silverstone in April.”

Matt Howson, KCMG WEC Driver: “Taking part in the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2013 was a life-changing experience and the fact I am involved again with KCMG on a full assault of the FIA WEC championship feels like a massive achievement. It’ll be a steep learning curve but we have a strong team this season and more experience than last year so we have high expectations. I’ve been with KCMG since 2007 through Formula 3 so the time feels right to take on a world championship together with them.”

Paul Ip, KCMG Managing Director: “We have worked with Richard and Matt in previous motorsport campaigns prior to our involvement in WEC and Asian Le Mans. Both have shown commitment and versatile prowess as drivers and I’m pleased to have them represent KCMG in our first full season in the World Championship. We have yet to announce our third driver but so far, I’m already confident that we have a strong lineup with Richard and Matt.”
