KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) is primed for the 2014 season of Super Formula after a successful shakedown of its new Dallara SF14 during the Japanese series’ official pre-season test at Suzuka Circuit early this month.
The Toyota supported team has confirmed 2013 All Japan Formula 3 champion Yuichi Nakayama for the Super Formula seat. The Japanese driver took part in the testing sessions at Suzuka and completed 121 laps over the course of two days.
Nakayama capped off the first day of testing by finishing in 15th position. The Japanese driver returned the following day and laid down an impressive marker, as he emerged 7th fastest during the morning session of Day 2.
After showing strong form in the Dallara SF14, Nakayama concluded Super Formula’s official pre-season test in 10th position.
