After a tough outing in China early this month, KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) travels to the Middle East for FIA World Endurance Championship’s (WEC) penultimate event of the season at Bahrain International Circuit this weekend. With renewed confidence, the Hong Kong-based outfit is set to take on the World Championship’s forthcoming six-hour challenge on Sakhir’s highly-technical 5.412 km Formula 1 track.

With extensive repairs completed in time for the 6 Hours of Bahrain, the #47 Oreca 03R – Nissan shod with Dunlop tyres will be once again shared by Richard Bradley, Matt Howson and Alexandre Imperatori. Following the incident that Imperatori endured in Shanghai, the Swiss ace’s recovery has been swift and is primed to be back in the blue and white LMP2 to challenge for class victory with Bradley and Howson.

As WEC’s seventh event takes the championship to the Kingdom of Bahrain, KCMG will be up against tough opposition, with teams battling it out for valuable championship points into the night. On-track action will begin with three free practice sessions, which will be held on Thursday and Friday morning. Qualifying gets underway on Friday afternoon, with the start of the 6 Hours of Bahrain taking place at 15:00 local on Saturday.

Richard Bradley: “We are looking to bounce back with a win after the woeful incident that we endured in Shanghai. The mechanics have done very well to repair the car in time for this race, so we will do our best to make it all worthwhile by being on top of the podium on race day!”

Matt Howson: “After the disappointment of Shanghai, we go to Bahrain highly motivated to win for KCMG. We had the package to do so in China and the team has worked tirelessly to repair the car for this event. We intend to repay the team’s efforts by displaying strong form and score crucial championship points in Bahrain. I have driven this circuit before so I look forward to getting the KCMG-Oreca dialed in and take the fight to opposition!”

Alexandre Imperatori: “First of all, I would like to give a big thumbs up to the team for rebuilding the car after the crash in Shanghai. They have done a fantastic job. I look forward to Bahrain, which will be an entirely new track for me. We are pumped up to rebound after the disappointment of Shanghai. I have been working on my recovery, so rest assured, I will be 100% fit for the weekend!”

Paul Ip, KCMG Managing Director: “I would like to commend the team for doing an outstanding job in rebuilding the car in time for the 6 Hours of Bahrain. They have worked tirelessly to ensure that we’ll be back in competitive form and now, we head to Sakhir determined to finish on top.”
