KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) extends their congratulations to Alexandre Imperatori following the announcement of his moving up to LMP1 with Rebellion Racing this year. The Swiss ace will pilot the #13 ORECA built Rebellion R-One-AER alongside Dominic Kraihamer and Daniel Abt in FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Imperatori has been part of the Hong Kong-based outfit’s motorsport campaigns in China and Japan since 2009 and represented KCMG in All-Japan Formula 3 and Formula Nippon. He has led KCMG’s LMP2 programme in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and FIA WEC in 2013 and 2014, and sealed two WEC victories with Richard Bradley and Matt Howson last year.
Alexandre Imperatori: “I would like to thank KCMG and in particular Paul Ip for their support throughout our LMP2 adventure together and for believing in me from the beginning. I do not forget that it is also the hard work of the team, as well as my teammates, that has contributed to our successes and which in turn has helped me make the step up to LMP1 with Rebellion Racing. It is a fantastic opportunity and the beginning of a new chapter for me. It was a great pleasure to be a part KCMG from the beginning and contribute to its development. The team has grown tremendously and I’m sure it is now on track to achieve further success. I wish them the best of luck for 2015 and beyond.”
Paul Ip, KCMG Founder: “Alex has been part of the KCMG family since we started our motorsport projects in China and Japan back in 2009. Undoubtedly, his success is imminent as his talent as a driver and his passion for the sport has always been exceptional. His moving up to LMP1 is very well deserved. On behalf of the entire team, we are so proud and extremely happy for Alex and we wish him all the luck in this next chapter of his career.”
