KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) travels to Malaysia to challenge for victory in Asian Formula Renault’s second event, which will be held at Sepang International Circuit this weekend. The Hong Kong-based outfit, represented by Garnet Patterson and BlackArts Racing by KCMG driver Dan Wells, will tackle Rounds 3 and 4 of the widely-recognized single seater series on one of Asia’s most challenging F1 tracks.
The team is primed for another action-packed outing after clinching two podiums at Asian Formula Renault’s opening event in China last month. Patterson, who currently sits second in the overall driver standings, has his sights set on scoring his first victory in the blue and white FR2.0/13. Meanwhile, British driver Dan Wells heads to Sepang with confidence, as the highly technical 5.543km track is one of his favoured configurations, and where he has finished on the podium multiple times.
Garnet Patterson: “I can’t wait to be back in the car and compete this weekend at Sepang. The last round at Zhuhai was a solid start to the championship season, walking away with 2 podiums and wrapping up the weekend second in the drivers standings. It won’t be an easy outing, but I am confident that we will produce even better results in upcoming races here in Malaysia.”
Dan Wells: “I’m very happy to be back racing again this weekend with BlackArts Racing by KCMG in Malaysia. I have focused heavily on fitness and simulator work since the last round and we are confident for what lay ahead.
