KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) looks ahead to another action-packed weekend as the Hong Kong-based team gears up for the second event of All-Japan Formula 3 Championship at Twin Ring Motegi on May 9-10. Struan Moore is eager to get back in his Toyota-powered Dallara F312 after a promising debut at Suzuka last month, where he rounded off his maiden JF3 outing in the points.
The British driver returned to the Far East early this week and completed a series of tests on Motegi’s 4.8km road course in preparation for the Japanese formula series’ forthcoming event, which will be comprised of three races. Following yesterday and this morning’s productive test sessions, Moore is geared to take on another new challenge and aims to deliver strong results throughout the weekend.
Struan Moore: “It’s been a progressively positive two days at Motegi testing. Considering I only saw the track for the first time on Thursday, the pace is encouraging and I believe we can be fighting inside the points this weekend. Right now, I’m looking ahead to qualifying because it’s so important, where you qualify usually determines your finishing position as it’s difficult to overtake around this track. My aim is to be in the points in all 3 races to catch up with the top 5 in the championship.”
Ryuji Doi, KCMG Head of Motorsport: “Struan has been working hard to prepare for this event and the team is confident that he will finish strong in all three races this weekend. He has shown much progress since Suzuka and the team is looking forward to a successful outing with him at Motegi.”
