KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) returns to Zhuhai International Circuit for Rounds 5 and 6 of Asian Formula Renault this weekend (June 19 – 21) with Garnet Patterson and BlackArts Racing by KCMG driver Dan Wells. Following more than a month’s interval from the highly competitive Asian entry-level series, the Hong Kong-based team is primed for another action-packed weekend on Zhuhai’s 4.319km track.
After Wells and Patterson reigned supreme by delivering a peerless double 1-2 finish at Sepang International Circuit last April, both drivers are once again keen to conclude the race weekend with top results. The third event of Asian Formula Renault will comprise of two 10-lap rounds with sixteen drivers from two classes battle it out for victory. The Australian driver currently leads the overall Drivers’ standings with 92 points, while the British BlackArts Racing by KCMG driver lies second on the leaderboard with 90 points.
Garnet Patterson: “I’m looking forward to getting back in the car this weekend at Zhuhai for Rounds 5 and 6 of Asian Formula Renault. I’m coming into the weekend leading the championship, so the main aim is to win both races and extend the lead. With tricky weather conditions at play, myself and the whole team at KCMG will be doing our best to get a good outcome.”
Dan Wells: “I’m looking forward to getting back in the car this weekend at Zhuhai with the BlackArts Racing by KCMG team. It’s good to be able to welcome my supported charities, Half the Sky Foundation and the Caudwell Children. Zhuhai is kind of a home race for me, so I’m looing forward to hosting my sponsors and seeing 35,000 race fans in attendance. Bring on the weekend!”
