After exuding dominance in Zhuhai last month, KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) returns to China for Asian Formula Renault’s fourth event at Shanghai International Circuit on July 11-12. Garnet Patterson and BlackArts Racing by KCMG driver Dan Wells are once again eyeing wins at one of the most demanding Formula 1 circuits in Asia.
The Hong Kong-based squad looks forward to the Asian series’ seventh and eighth rounds after concluding the championship’s last two races at Zhuhai with three podiums, comprised of two commanding victories by Wells and a second place finish by Patterson. Asian Formula Renault’s forthcoming challenge highlights two races on Shanghai’s 5.451km track, with Qualifying taking place on Saturday morning.
Wells currently sits on top of the overall Drivers leaderboard with a 10-point advantage from his Australian teammate. With 60 points up for grabs at Shanghai, Asian Formula Renault’s upcoming event is shaping up to be another action-packed weekend.
