KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) returns to the scenic foothills of Mount Fuji as Super Formula and All-Japan Formula Three Championship’s forthcoming events get underway at Fuji Speedway on July 17-18.

Following more than a month’s hiatus from Japan’s top-level Formula racing series, Yuichi Nakayama is set for Super Formula’s third event and is looking forward to challenge for championship points on Fuji’s 4.56km track. As Nakayama’s blue and white Toyota-powered SF14 had undergone extensive development during the Japanese series’ month long interval, the team is confident that further progress is at hand.

Meanwhile, KCMG JF3 driver Struan Moore is primed for another thrilling weekend of on-track action after making encouraging headway at Okayama International Circuit last month. Along with the entire KCMG crew, Nakayama and Moore are ready for another action-packed weekend as they race against rivals in two of Japan’s most competitive motorsport platforms.

Yuichi Nakayama, Super Formula driver: “There was a long interval before this round, so I am very excited for it. Our aim is to advance to Q3 and secure a good position on the starting grid. I am confident in our pace for the race, so it is important to deliver a strong result in Qualifying. I was able to finish driving at a good pace at Suzuka during the first race and also, went into Q2 at Okayama – these are very encouraging results and the condition of the car has improved a lot too. There has been some valuable learning about the car in last two rounds and we make use of this data as we proceed to Super Formula’s third race at Fuji. We’ll try our best in all the sessions throughout the race weekend!”

Struan Moore, All-Japan Formula Three driver“I’m looking forward to this race as we were strong in testing here and the car and myself have improved since then. It will be a lot easier coming to a track I’ve been to before so I am confident of a strong result.”

Ryuji Doi, KCMG Head of Motorsport: “We have made encouraging progress in both Super Formula and JF3, and with the headway that we’ve made in the past months, our drivers are up to the challenge that the upcoming rounds at Fuji brings. Competing in Fuji is something that we immensely look forward to as this is a great circuit and a venue where we have excelled most during preseason testing. We are set to vie for positions at the front and to gain championship points over the weekend.”
