carrozzeria Team KCMG enjoyed a dominant run in Super Formula’s two-day pre-season test as the #18 Toyota-powered SF14 clocked the fastest lap at Suzuka International Circuit on Sunday (11 March). Kamui Kobayashi set a blistering pace of 1m36.122s during Day 1’s morning session – a record that topped the time sheets throughout the weekend.
The pre-inaugural event drew massive crowds as motorsport enthusiasts flocked to Suzuka to see and cheer for their favourite teams and drivers who will vie for this year’s Super Formula championship title. After an impressive pre-season performance, Kobayashi and the entire crew of carrozzeria Team KCMG are primed to battle it out with the best teams and drivers in the highly competitive Japanese single-seater series.
With a seven event calendar, Super Formula’s will hold its opening round at Suzuka International Circuit on April 22.
