KCMG LOOK TO BUILD ON STRONG START TO NLS SEASON

KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) looks to continue its progress at the Nordschleife this weekend at the third round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie, following a strong showing during NLS 2.

The Hong Kong-based team finished fifth in its opening race of the 2021 NLS season amid preparations for the Nürburgring 24 Hours in June. The team aims to make up track time on the famous Green Hell, after both the pre-season test and NLS 1 were called off, completing successful running between races to achieve this.

Following their strong finish in NLS 2, Edoardo Liberati and Marco Holzer will hand over the #18 Porsche 911 GT3 R to team-mates Alexandre Imperatori and Josh Burdon before the team returns as a foursome for the ADAC 6-Hour Qualification Race a week later.

ALEXANDRE IMPERATORI

“I’m looking forward to my first race on the Nordschleife this year after the cancellation of NLS 1. We have been busy testing and developing our package but there is no substitute to racing. Together with Josh, we will aim to carry on the momentum from Marco and Edo’s performance in NLS 2 and continue our preparation for the N24.”

JOSH BURDON

“I’m excited to be back for NLS 3 and sharing the car with Alex. It will be my first race for the year so I can’t wait to get back out there. The team showed a strong performance last time out, and after some positive testing I’m looking forward to continuing our preparation for the N24 and hopefully securing a strong result.”

MATT HOWSON TEAM MANAGER

“After a successful outing with Marco and Edo we now welcome back Josh and Alex to continue our car development. With the data we gathered from further testing, we expect another good step in performance at NLS 3. The team and mechanics performed brilliantly at NLS 2 so we’ll look to keep up that pace while working on the small details required to react to anything that the Green Hell can and will throw at us.”

PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER

“The team performed very well at NLS 2 earlier in the month, taking a strong fifth place finish and collecting valuable data ahead of the N24. Edo and Marco did a great job and I’m sure we can expect more of the same from Alex and Josh this weekend. The N24 is not far away so every moment on track counts and I believe the team is in a great position to keep improving.”
